Two pod holders are included: a shallow holder that holds one coffee pod for one cup, and a deeper filter that holds two pods for two cups (or one 8-ounce mug). After filling the removable reservoir with fresh water, insert the pods and lock the lid into place. A simple push of the ''on/off'' button and either of the one- or two-cup buttons starts the brewing process. Up to five 4-ounce cups can be brewed on one reservoir of water. The unit's stand-by function enables brewing another fresh cup of coffee at any time, and its automatic shut-off ensures that the appliance automatically switches itself off after one hour.

Great coffee for reasonable price
Europeans love their coffee. We wake up with it and go to bed with it. I was very excited to be able to buy this Dutch product after living in the US for a while. It provided me some great memories from home. The first one I bought was noisy and inconsistent. This newer one has many improvements and provides more consistency in the quality of the coffee. Amazon provides a great service with subscribe & save. You'll automatically receive a new shipment of the pods in intervals you select at a discount and all subscription orders ship free. I have been able to impress many of my American friends and European colleagues providing them a decent cup of coffee.
Lousy Coffee, Don't Waste Your Money
This made the worst coffee I've ever tasted. It smelled like coffee but had a chaulky flavor. I tried in numerous times with one and two packets but could never get a cup that was drinkable. Don't waste your money on this piece of crap!
Enough of good coffee
I often read people's reviews before buying a product to get a true experience; so here it goes: I have had my Senseo machine for 3 years now and am very happy with it and the coffee it serves. My wife drinks no coffee (love's tea) but finds the Senseo machine very handy and easy to use. It even saves the coffee we otherwise would have to throwaway if we would make a full size pot.
The machine serves small cups of good quality (Dutch brand) coffee within 3 minutes, including filling the water container, placing the pod (single filtered coffee serving), heating the water, and pressing it ready to drink into your cup.
