. . .not great, not terrible. This was purchased for a child who needs a sony walkman to participate in a special listening program. His mom reports that the batteries die quickly, and it seems a bit flimsy. However, it does the trick.

This CD player does every thing it is suppossed to. I have had no problems at all.

Sony DFJ040PSBLU CD Walkman Portable Compact Disc Player with Tuner arrived to my home on 7/7. It was packaged poorly. It did not contain the A/C adapter & after placing new batteries into it, it did not work. SuperSaver appears not to have a concrete return policy. I am extremely disappointed. I will not ever buy anything from SuperSaver. My only hope is that I will get a full & complete refund. This is my first & last experience buying any type of electronics online. I will now have to make an inconvenient trip & hope that I can find a quality portable CD player. Don't be fooled. This is not a product that should be bought online.
very good--although not quite perfect
This Walkman by Sony offers serious music lovers the opportunity to listen to MP3 files stored on a CD-R, a regular CD (of course), a CD-RW and there's a digital AM and FM radio tuner! This Walkman uses two AA batteries and you get lots of play time out of the batteries if you pick good batteries. It weighs less than eight ounces--great!
At first glance the controls on the Walkman itself appear slightly confusing but after about five minutes tops you learn all the important and most commonly used functions. The controls also make it easy to do basic things such as adjusting the sound, starting a CD and stopping it. Sony Walkman CD player
The walkman is truly skipless which is exactly what I was looking for. However, I notice I replace the batteries more frequently than my last CD player. I would like the buttons on the side to be in a contrasting color from the base because they are hard to read. I would buy this CD player again
