Great stuff
I bought this for a thumb injury -- what's called "skier's thumb" where you damage the ligament that attaches at the thumb's base. The Kinesio tape is very efficient -- you don't need to wrap it over itself the way you do regular athletic tape. It constricts movement in the affected area without inhibiting entirely, since the tape has built-in elasticity.
Non-Invasive Therapy
I purchased the Kinesio kit and the blue and pink tape based on trying this through my Chiropractor. The book was easy to understand and the tape worked well in lifting the facia from my swollen knee and ankle to assist with healing. I have had less swelling than ever. I have a torn ligament to my knee and arthritis in my feet and ankles. The tape really works in reducing swelling and pain. I too has some skin irritation when placing the pink tape along my shoulder, but no problems on the legs, and I can leave it on up to 4 days! I think I started a trend at the office.

It did seem to relieve so of my knee pain but it doesn't work well on hairy areas. My legs are pretty hairy so the tape didn't adhere very well to my skin.

My physical therapist recommended this tape and it is the best. I can actually walk and exercise without the severe pain that I was having in my knee. I received my package from HPMS.com (ordered through Amazon.com) in very timely manner and with no issues. I would absolutely recommend Kinesio Tex Tape - Water Resistant, Color: Blue, 2'' x 5.5yd. (5cm x 5m) Single Roll and ordering with HPMS (through Amazon.com) to anyone. Before the roll runs out, I will be ordering more.
A Great Help...
I have chronic back pain since an injury, and Kinesio Tex Tape - Water Resistant, Color: Blue, 2'' x 5.5yd. (5cm x 5m) Single Roll has definitely helped me. I'm about 50% better now since using it for about 3 weeks. It's much cheaper than any other treatment and I believe aids your body in healing itself, which is really what it's all about.
It is not perfect and you may have some minor itching and or minor irritation, but all in all, it is worth it for sure!
I looked at it like : "Why not - for $ 20 bucks, what do I have to loose?"
