My new Cuisinart 12-cup coffee maker is perfect. I had purchased a Kitchen Aid 12-cup previously, and it malfunctioned in less than a week. I was very happy to find a good price on Amazon.com plus free shipping for the Cuisinart, and it is red, too! I wouldn't change a thing.

I wanted to get this coffeemaker for two reasons. One the color... red. Second... the fact that it has a water filter. We have well water and need another filter on the coffee maker. We got one that did not have one and the coffee was awful! This Cuisinart coffee maker has met our expectations indeed.
Great...however
This coffee maker makes great coffee, is fairly easy to use, and is true red. However...when ordering they do not tell you that it uses a small charcoal type filter that needs to be replaced every month or two (depending on use) and that these filters are far from cheap!
Best Coffeemaker to date
I have owned more than my share of coffeemakers and this Cuisinart DCC-1100 12 cup is the best by far. It brews very fast, stays hot and the taste is better than most. I recently purchased a Krups and in only five mo.the coating on the control buttons were peeling and I only use a damp cloth to clean the outside of the pot. The taste from the Krups pot also tasted like plastic. I would recommend this Cuisinart to anyone.
Makes a nice brew
Pros: Makes great tasting, hot coffee. Like that it beeps to let you know your brew is ready.
Cons: Small water reservoir fill area really is an annoying design flaw. One shouldn't have to concentrate that hard to avoid water spillage! Condensation does build up under the lid of the machine and needs wiping out after each use.
