Pass the toast
Slim, nice looking without being trendy. Works well, does as promised. No burnt toast, uneven bagels or slightly frozen, either. Like it alot.

Snap, crackle and POP!!
I've had the toaster for 3 weeks. I didn't like the fact that both slots heat when I'm only using one - it seems like that should have been easy to change - but it toasted okay until one morning the thing began snarling and then snap, crackle and POP! a flash of light and a smell of sulphur (okay, maybe I imagined that) and suddenly breakfast had turned into a game of Russian roulette. I tried it again on two more mornings but finally had to return the toaster to the store as I've already redecorated my kitchen and am not aiming for the towering inferno decor.

I was hoping this was a fluke and had wanted to buy another one, but now that I've read the reviews, I'll look at other brands.

KitchenAid KTT570ER 4-Slice Digital Toaster
By far the best toaster I have ever had. Bagels are perfect and artisan bread is perfect. I bought it because of the wide slots. I couldn't ask for a better toaster and I have had my share of bogus toasters. Buy this, you will not regret it!

Very Fast, Even Toasting
Very fast toasting even at lower settings. (2/9) Considering its wide/long slots and speed/darkness of toast, it might be better suited for bagels than sliced bread. Not recommended if your countertop space is tight or you prefer lighter/white toast. Nice polished glossy finish which can be high-maintenance.

What a toaster!
Perhaps it is that all of my other toasters have been... cheap. But, for my family, this toaster has been magnificant.

I must state that I am not a toast connoisseur, but I do have tastebuds and that should account for something. This toaster has been great... it always toasts our bread satisfactorily.

It might not always be an even color all of the way across but it never undercooks part while burning the other. It turns out a nice golden color with maybe a few spots of darker brown- though certainly not charred. The lightest setting gives a hint of a crunch but doesn't even brown the bread while the highest setting blackens the edges. We like it somewhere in the middle. I have not had problems toasting a 2nd batch immediatly following the first- it always turns out just as perfect.

My only complaint has more to do with my bread choice. I choose to buy a whole wheat bread that is wider than average and, therefore, 2 pieces side by side overlap slightly leaving just a small strip undertoasted. It's not a big deal as it overlaps only 1/4 inch.

I have been very pleased with this blue toaster which I have had over 1 1/2 yrs.
