Frustrating radio reception
When I would turn my head and move around the radio station would go in and out even on the stations with the strongest signals. It drove me crazy and I had to return them. I really wanted them to work for me and gave them every chance. I TUNES FOR NAPPING 'WORK TUNES, PELTOR' I just bought these and am already love them. I have a set of Peltor 'cans' I use to shut out the world at nap time. Between phone calls and barking dogs, horn honking and other rude noises, these 'cans' are 'all that and a bag of chips.' I also use these on the job for working in noisy environs and love the way I can keep stimulated where before, the sound of silence itself would be deafening. With the radio in them it's easier to wind down or drown out my internal noises. They are 'hearing protection' with a radio, not a radio headset. The i tunes accessory makes them more versatile but audiophiles will not likely care for their lack of specs with regards to sound/reception quality. Not as advertised The only thing the same was the brand and color. The headset they sent had no port to plug in a device such as an Ipod (which is why I bought it in the first place and it is advertised as having one). Also, there is a big sticker on the back of the package warning that the headset cord contains Lead. Now I can't even let my kids use it! False advertising, never again! Noise Reduction Headphones The radio has very good sensitivity and selectivity. Stations come in clear and crisp. The noise reduction feature works to reduce exterior noise. It does not eliminate it. My riding lawnmower's engines noise was reduced to a gentle background noise but was still clearly present. Other types of noise such your wife nagging at you were completely eliminated-a big plus there. Bulky and hot Nice unit, fair reception, but the fit is very tight. I find it to be uncomfortable in warmer weather, no room for air circulation. | |
