Love Em
I do not know why I didn't buy these years ago?? I have used ear plugs for years and have listened to my heart beat and muffled equipment noises. These things do a great job dampening noise and actually sound quite nice. It will make any job more relaxing and enjoyable. The only negative is on warm days your ears do not breathe very well.

makes the night shift zoom by!
I run heavy equipment quite often for 12 hrs a day. These headphones have saved my sanity! They block out enough background noise to be comfortable and yet you can still hear people when they holler, The radio reception can be hit and miss but usually you will find a station you can live with.If I could change anything it would be the channel selecter knob. A digital scan function would be much more user friendly.

Great! I use it mowing or just working around the yard. I started taking it to Va Tech football games, now all my friends want one for Christmas!

not bad compared to others
I had a pair of digital tuned Radio Shack headphones. They were good because of preset station ability. They were very fragile and broke after 2 months.

The work tunes are built with much more solid construction. I wear them everyday for at least 4 hours. They are pretty good at getting my AM talk stations. FM stations are solid. The antenna can be directional at times and leave you twisting your head (like a puppy) trying to get your station.

I get a lot more than 50 hours per battery change. The product literature leads you to believe you get a lot less.

One complaint you might consider is that these headphones are not really comfortable. The headphones get pretty warm especially in the summer.

They are also not very stealth. My wife says I look like a dork when I wear them in public. (I embrace my dorkiness when it serves a purpose) I like the bright yellow because they are easy to find when I set them down in a random place.

A note to those who would consider these headphones. The temptation is to turn them on louder than you may need. Start with low volume and turn them up as little as possible till they satisfy your listening needs. I don't mean to be your mom but you can damage your hearing listening to loud headphone radio. Just like diamonds hearing damage is forever. You can also find yourself isolated from the real world and possibly unintentionally put yourself in danger by not hearing things approaching.

You can also purchase replacement ear pads when they go flat.

I'd buy them again if I manage to destroy these.

good
This head set is just what I had hoped it would be.
It covers up most all outside noise, and the radio picks up stations better than I expected. I wear this all the time on the Farm, running my tractor or lawnmower. It makes the chore I have go by much faster
If you do alot of outside work with equipment I would say this is a must have!!!
