Not as good as you hope...
I had high hopes for this product. I read the negative reviews and, I don't know, hoped the people writing them were wrong - deliberately deceiving us?

In truth, they hit the mark. The hearing protectors proper, as you might imagine with Peltor, are great. The FM radio circuit is bad. Really bad. Signal reception is poor (and I'm in an urban area) despite multiple locations tested. The tuning wheel is very sensitive - it takes very little (a good sneeze?) to lose your station, if you could ever find it in the first place. Sometimes the signal will be lost and a good smack to the ear that houses the circuit is necessary to tune it back in.

And don't even THINK about trying to pickup an FM modulated signal such as one from a portable satellite receiver. With distances of only 15 feet it is unworkable (turn your head and the signal's gone).

In practice, I use these as passive hearing protectors - with the radio turned OFF. Occasionally, if I'm willing to entertain the static and crosstalk from other stations, I'll tune in NPR for a short time.

Peltor was unresponsive to my complaint about this unit.

Resist the urge, and invest in something that's well made if/when it finally comse to market.

It great to listen to Baseball while mowing!
Just what the busy homeowner/baseball fan needs for the summer. You won't find me watching a game when the weather is fine & there's mowing to be done. The headset works great. I love it. The only problem is my wife feels that I'm tuning her out! She has trouble getting my attention. Oh Well...

DO NOT BUY.
Bought for my father-in-law. Does not have good reception at all. Could not tune into stations very well. What a waste of $60. Didn't return becuase s&h costs to return weren't worth it. Just threw it away. What a shame and a waste.

Volume limitation makes these useless
While the noise-blocking efficiency is very good, unfortunately the radio volume cannot be increased beyond a whisper. AM reception is poor.

The radio's maximum volume limitation renders these little more than fancy earmuffs.

Just about perfect
These fit just what I need: headphone radio that will mute mower sound and let me listen to the radio. I listen to AM. Don't expect stellar AM reception with any radio like this. I have a high quality portable AM radio, and it doesn't do much better. Don't expect to pull things in that are 150 miles away - stick with the local guys - and your expectations will be met. Similarly, don't expect audiophile sound. This is just a nice simple radio in a decent quality headset that will mute outside sound.

It is so aggravating to mow with a corded headphones and radio (constantly tangling the cord and shutting off the radio by mistake, etc. Plus they don't block noise like this does.

It would be nice to have digital presets, but I've found it easy enough to quickly find my stations. It takes a little getting used to.

I love this thing.
