Good purchase but price ? ! ?
I had purchased this radio for my father. He wanted good quality, so after reading a few reviews I made my mind towards Sony brand. I found the item overpriced for a hand radio, but to avoid risk of buying a poor quality item and dealing with return etc. i purchased this radio.

The quality was just fine as expected, and you can tell that it is not really cheap dollar store item. Material and sound quality was good. But still I feel it was over priced (I paid somewhere like $90 for this item). I think it should have been priced half of that price at most.

Easy controls
The radio is very easy to program and operate. The sound is a little tinny. The time is not displayed while the radio is playing. Nice and handy item overall. The electronic controls can get hung up - to fix this, reset by unplugging the AC and removing the batteries for a minute or two. Then reprogram.

Nice, but...
Great and full-featured little unit, but sadly lacking an AC-DC converter, which is another $25.00, if you can find one.

Wonderful Radio
I bought this radio to replace an older model which I had for over 15 years. They are long lasting and have extraordinary sound quality for a small portable radio. TV channels are perfectly clear and the the radio holds its channels well in all all modes (radio, TV, Weather Band. It is easy to set the channel pre-sets and to change them. This little radio is really a winner. You can't go wrong buying this!!
