Buy any other coffee maker but this one.
The thermal carafe is terrible. The coffee leaks down the side of the carafe. There does not appear to be any reason Black & Decker cannot make a carafe that functions well, but for some reason in order to pour the coffee without spilling you have to take the top off. I have owned a space-saver coffee maker for years and this new one is so bad I am throwing it in the trash and buying a new coffee maker. Do not waste your money. it leaks i was very upset with this product. it leaks and the warming plate peels. very poorly made. very unhappy!!!! Finally got another one! After my original odc325 died(6yrs of heavy use) I purchased the "new" stainless steel nightmare caraffe unit. For $60 you can have a pot that leaks and doesnt keep coffee warm. After surching online I was able to purchase my orignal one. It is a refurb but looks like it has never been used. I got it for $39.97 @ Service Merchandise.com. In case anyone needs to replace there old and wants one worth having. Dying on-switch I've had 3 of the spacesavers with a door. Never mounted them under a cabinet, just love the removable resevoir. Saved the caraffe from each dead one, so now have 3 caraffes. The only problem I had/have is the on-switch died on each one. This is over a period of 8 years, so guess I can't complain. But now B&D has changed their model to that stainless caraffe, and a taller design, plus more expensive. Bad move, B&D. You had a great little machine. Now they are hard to find.
