Had to return it
I bought this based on the reiviews and the brand name (Sony) but I experienced really bad reception and static while using it during my walks in open areas such as parks. Reliable workhorse-good features I bought this radio several years ago and have taken it all over. It goes with me to the gym, on the bus to work, always in my pocket. It's been really reliable and gets great FM reception, and good AM reception. I wish there were a way to counteract the interference from the bus engine/electronics, but that may be beyond the capacity of such an inexpensive radio. I've never immersed it, but it has gotten wet, and been dropped-it's really well put together. I also love the lock feature to keep the station from changing inadvertently. amazing little product I have had this product for 6 or 7 years. I listened to it at work and dropped it many times, and the walkman still works. Well, all the stations are worn off, like I said I have had the product many years. I listen to it laying in the sun. Well, the other day, I was laying in my nephew's pool on a float and had it on top of me where it would not get wet. I fell off the float and in the pool my walkman went. I thought oh, no, I love this walkman. I know they do not make them anymore. I was very upset. I hit it on my hand to try to get all the water out, took the battery out, and let it dry in the sun. I put the battery back in, and plugged in the headphones...I COULD HEAR STATIC..I was shocked, it still worked. I got the clock to work, and the walkman does still play. I can still get all the radio stations, the tv sound, and it works, amazing. I would advise anyone to get this little walkman. It is a great product, after all the times I have dropped it, and even in the pool, it still works. sony radio this is a great little radio...third one my husband has had over many years...just getting a little hard to find, as local retailers don't give it shelf space anymore...thank goodness for amazon.com! walkman review I am totally satisfied with my Sony SFR-M37V, it sounds cystal clear during my walks and stays very clear during runs.
