Extremely disappointing
I was really looking forward to getting this as a present for my son, and what a let down.
In Demo mode it has a few cool moves, but thats about it.
Very clumsy movements and a complicated remote - can only pick up a supplied plastic container placed in a certain position, and then makes a couple of grunting sounds - big deal!!
If this is what we getting from ex NASA employees then it makes one wonder - did we really get to the moon....
An addition to the family! Sort of....
This robot is da bomb! It has a lot of really funny things it can do. It can dance, burp, fart, do karate moves, pick up roar, talk balk, and even whistle! The remote is easy to control and it comes with a cup thingy for him to pick up.
My dogs bark at it when he whistles and my brother loves to watch him dance.
Overall this is flippin' awesome!!!!
IT SEEMS PRETTY COOL
My 4 year old son did love this. I thought for close to $100 bucks it might do a little more, but he is happy with it. I found some sites on the internet on how to make it do more stuff, but that is definetly a job for ME and not my son because there are alot of steps in order to do that....but the robot is okay.
A little on the pricey side...
Don't get me wrong or nothing, Robosapien is totally fun to mess around with. None of the functions work quite as well as I would like them to, but they're all still pretty cool. Getting him out of the box is annoying, but it's not too different from some other toys and boxes you've had to deal with before. The control is a trip. It looks like a huge universal remote to control your house or something, but no - just Robosapien.
I'm going to go with these other peeps. Wait for v2 and try to find it on sale.
