Experenced Portable DVD shopper
This was the 1st of my 13 Portables and the only one i didnt sell it lasted HEAVY use and wear and tear for 9 months survived over 30,000mins of play time and 7 drops before the back broke. It still works tho it just wont stand now. This is my alll time fav Portable i normally like the Coby cause there cheap and they last long this modle is a little bulky but more durable and when useing it for more then just a road trip its very handy to have a sturdy modle. This is a good buy ^^

Bought two!
Works great. I used them on a 10,000 mile summer road trip from Alaska to Ohio and then the Oregon coast and back again. I used one as a master and plugged it into the "video in" on the second player. So everyone watched the same DVD at the same time. Then I plugged the audio out into the car stereo so everyone could here it, too. I opted for this method instead of buying a single system with 2 monitors because I like having 2 complete DVD players instead of just one player with two screens. Plus, when I take a longer flight, I have 2 batteries to take along.

The speakers aren't very loud so I suggest headphones for personal use.

Junk Junk Junk
I resent the fact that I can't give this DVD player "0" stars.

It used to work fine -- as a matter of fact, just about until the time that the limited warranty ran out. Now, after about an hour of use, it gets hung up and just spins around and won't go forward or backward or anything. Unplugging the player for 30 minutes (as Coby's trouble shooting guide suggests) does seem to "reset the player," but then it's only good for about another hour of use before the problem happens again.

Don't waste your money on this piece of junk.

Bought two as gifts - awesome equipment
Like everyone else, I got one for my five year old to keep her amused on a cross country road trip. Survived and out performed expectations. Its made several air plane trips and long vacations tossed around in a back pack since and still works great. It has also crossed over as a DVD player for a small TV set we have using the plug in jacks it comes with. It is an outstanding value with an agreeably small foot print.

I bought an identical model for my 67 year old father to use on his trips and at home. He likes it and my daughter shows him how to use it. Now she can watch Barbie Princess movies and he can watch John Wayne on the couch together.

It has every accessory you will need and works out of the box.

You cant go wrong with it. I'd buy it again.

Great little companion
I love this little player. I have been using it for almost two years now and take it on several trips a year. I give it 4 stars instead of 5, because the built in sound is quite low and it was hard to hear on a plane with regular headphones. But things improved vastly with a noise cancelling set.
