Disappointed
I order this product for a gift and ended up keeping it...of course it wasn't opened until after the warrenty expired. The battery green light shows charged but never works when trying to use it for service. I don't know it the battery is bad or the player. I wouldn't buy this product again.

Possible P.O.S.
I literally just bought this thing for a flight home from Chicago a couple days ago, fully charged. I watched it for about 2 hours when the battery died. Then I plugged it into a TV at home, got about halfway through a brand new movie (no scrathes), and it started skipping. I basically had to skip the whole chapter just to finish the movie. I also noticed that the motor in it is quite loud when the airplane noise doesn't block it out (at home), good thing you mostly use these portables with headphones. I'd say go with a more established electronics brand that's known for it's quality.

Save your Money
Pay a few bucks more and get a reliable brand that will work for more than a few weeks and one that won't ruin your DVD's like this one. Get one that comes with a carrying case, they are a must for a portable and are expensive.

Probably nice....if it worked
Purchased this portable DVD player last Christmas. Unfortunately, after it was opened it was clear something was wrong as the motor made grinding sounds and it wouldn't load (naturally...) a DVD. I had chosen it based on reviews at the time and the price.
Alas, we shipped it back to Amazon and got a refund with no hassles! Because of the lack of quality control, I can only give it one star.

low audio
The picture is good but at the highest volume level the audio is very low
