A cheap but with full functions mp3 player
It is my first mp3 player and just got it a day ago. The sound quality is OK. FM radio receive the signal clearly, seems to be better than my sony walkman. Although the control is a little confused, I am now used to it after several operation according to the instruction on CD. The Quick Guide is almost useless even for a newbie. I am happy it can display Chinese song name after language setting changed.
Happy with my first MP3 player
I didn't want anything too lavish or expensive as my first MP3 player, all I needed was something to play music with an FM radio so I could listen to the televisions during my workouts.
Overall, I'm happy with this product. The joystick, as mentioned in other reviews, IS pretty difficult to use. The menu setup still has me confused. However, it holds more music than I will need for quite some time, and it does exactly what I bought it for.
This is not a title.
I have not gone over all of the functions of this mp3/wma player, however, I do have a few observations which should help potential buyers in making their final decision. I will be pointing out some annoyances, for reviews which focus on the good parts of the product, see the other ones.
The interface is not the best. It was not intuitive. Granted, I sat down and played with it before I opened up any manual, but the fact remains that it's unexpected. Switching from one song to the next while playing a song produces a lag. Going into the settings menu is a bit of a trouble to get out. The scroll speed isn't very fast, even at the maximum setting, and as far as I can tell, I can't make it only display the title of a song, instead of the band, album, etc.
When I received the package, and after spending some time fiddling with the packaging (which I must admit is more complex than the interface), I tried it out. I plugged in a USB cable laying around my box, and did the normal mount routine. The player was recognized like a normal read/write memory card. This is not very relevant for people who are using Windows or Macintosh, however this experience should be similar for Linux and other alternative OS users. Plug-and-play worked out for once.
Notice that this player is not shaped like a normal "USB keychain", so if you need to transport data around, you will have to carry around the USB cable.
The product works. It does seem like there are some quality issues that can be touched up on, but I believe I got what I paid for.
Edit:
Do not apply pressure to the screen, it tends to break.
