hard to read
I have owned this item for 2 years and have always found it difficult to read especially on a sunny day. Not a terrible thing. I just switched to sirius and I do find there music much more to my liking. (classic rock,hard ,alternative). Howard Stern seems much more enjoyable being I have not heard him in 2 yrs. It does have a stock ticker which sirius does not offer on any model that I know of. Some bugs, but overall very good I've had this unit for about 2 years. I use it in the car, at the office, and at home. Some tips: when hooking up to a stereo receiver, use the "tape" jacks, I found this works best. In the car: best to hardwire into the radio via the car stereo "aux input." Have never got it to work well as a Walkman, the little antenna just doesn't work (get signal when jogging one way down a street, no signal jogging back). Overall, very versatile (lots of after-market stuff, ie: desktop cradle with speakers, battery-powered cradle with speakers, both from Altec Lansing, both work great) and has given me good service. I recommend it. XM portable satelite radio I love this radio! I dropped & broke the first one...my bad. I only wanted this same one. Well worth the money. This radio is superb! I had this Hard-wired in my car until recently - (for a year and one half)and still use this unit for walking. It works great with the car radio - but the frequencies in my area are becoming crowded, so I opted to go with an all-in-one radio with HD in my car so I did not have to run through the FM stations. Also - it is important to purchase the Belkin Satellite headphones in order to get any reception outside - i.e. when walking. With these, the radio works great as a portable unit. This unit is going into my husband's car now and it works great using the cigarette lighter and the antenna through the FM. We probably will not hardwire it into his car because there is no need to. It has great reception! I did purchase the extended warranty and have not had to use it. I like this radio ad the battery life much better than my Pioneer Inno. Great until it needs repair Greatly enjoyed my Delphi XM2go portable for 15 months until the earphone recepticle in the radio became intermittent. Spent lots of time searching, and I have yet to find someone who will repair it. I give Delphi an "A" for design and functionality, and an "F" for customer support. Never again will I buy a Delphi product. | |
