Good Value
I purchace this radio to replace an old worn out Sony headset. For the price the radio does what is expected. The lower price of AA batteries compared to AAA would make it a better unit if it ran on AA. My experience with Amazon.com has been excellent. Be sure to compare prices from outside sources. Do not rely on % discount off Retail, no one ever paid those origional prices after 60 days of the product introduction.
I really like this radio
i have had 2 of the previous modles and when the last one died I got the new version. It's smaller and only takes 1 batery. I use this radio and have it on at work and it works fine. I work in a factory and get good reception, even when surounded by large injection molding machines and running equiptment and robots!
The batteries don't drain fast, I use rechargable and maby change a batery 1x a week.
i like that all the functions can be operated at the same time. I use the sotp watch for my breaks and the timer to alert me to when I need to do things. It's comfortable to wear and easy to operate. It can go on either arm and face up or down on either arm. this works great as i am left handed and wear it on my left arm. And it locks into place on the arm band no matter which way you face it so it won't accidently get pulled off. and the lock feature for the buttons works well as I often bump my arm on things. They changed the postion of the volume button which is good as the old moddle it was right on the bottom and often when I moved my arm it would adjust the volume which could get uncomfortable when the volume shot up and my hands were full. I have not had that problem with the new one.
one thing that i do miss that the old moddle did have is the preset buttons to quickly select what chanel you want to listen to. this one you have to scroll through rather than just push a button.
I can even pick up 2 TV chanels clear as can be when inside the factory.
I would reccomend this to anyone who want's a light weight, hands free radio that is easy to access.
This is terrible!
This has the worst reception and sound I ever heard. After misplacing my Aiwa ld-cr121 radio - which was incredible, I picked up this Sony. Besides the horrible reception the clip for the arm band blows and falls when I'm running.
Don't bother looking for the Aiwa it as small as a lighter - sound and reception was incredible. So, Sony bought Aiwa and that was the end of that. Sony has become terribly disappointing and I will really think twice about buying a sony again.
Forget this one
We have purchased this radio twice over the last couple of years. The first one worked great but the second one had awful static as you walked and became worse as your paced increase. Service is slow and non-responsive.
Great radio for runners
My husband runs everyday and says this is the best radio he's ever used.
It gets great reception and does not slip when running. I also use one
while I am walking on the treadmill. I highly recommend this item.
