Fair to Poor Quality
I had a Krups which lasted 10+ yrs, but plug finely went bad. Bought this one because of name and looks. After only 6 weeks, top does not fit into the bottem for grinding since PLASTIC activator peg already broken. Was difficult to fit into the top to get going too. Did grind nicely when I finally got it just in the right place, but this is the not Krups quality I am used to. I returned mine and will try another brand.

Great Choice For A Blade Grinder
I've owned many blade and burr grinders, including a commercial model burr grinder I use for espresso. In my experience, the inexpensive ($100 or less) burr grinders all share problems with static electricity as well as cheap housings for the "commercial grade" burrs.

I think that, for most grinds, a blade grinder works at least as well as the inexpensive burr grinders.

I have owned the Krups grinder for many years, and the blade has finally stopped catching all of the beans. I managed to dismantle the blade assembly and I sharpened the blade, but that only worked for a week. The Krups grinder more than earned its keep after so many years, and I am getting another one.

As for some of the other posted comments: The ground coffee comes off of the lid and also settles a bit--so you can open it and pour the grounds out more easily--if you simply tap the grinder lightly on the counter (straight down on its bottom). There is no reason to go nuts trying to clean every tiny bit of coffee out of the chamber or the lid. I use a teaspoon or tablespoon to coax most of the coffee into a canister. I used to wash the lid, but found that that is not really necessary. I just wipe the chamber (not the lid--which scrathes) with a paper towel. I've never had a problem with this approach. For example, the few small bits left behind do not "spoil" or "go bad."

Conclusion: A well designed product that has stood the test of time for many consumers.

AWESOME Grinder!
I have nothing to compare this to as I have never owned another grinder, so I will just give my opinion. I have used this for pill grinding so far and it has done an incredible job, my 12 pills go from huge to powder in about 10 seconds. It operates easily with the simple press of a button. Love it, highly recommend.

Very Nice
I bought this only for grinding spices. You need to use a substantial amount in order to achieve that fine grind. Clean up is easy with a paper towel and a brush. The only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars is the cap. If the little peg breaks, you're out of luck. Compared to other grinders, this one is pretty powerful while being inexpensive.

Works fine, clean up is a bit messy
This grinder works quickly and effectively. The only downside is the static that builds up on the plastic lid and internals. Coffee grounds stick to the plastic and require a bit more effort to clean up.
