gentle wake....right
Unless you like waking up angry or to loud music. The thing goes from a nice low gentle level to a crazy loud disturbing level in seconds. You need to instantly jump up and turn the dang thing off unless you like really loud music to wake up to. Whoever designed this stupid feature that cannot be turned off should be fired. Not Built to Last I was very excited when I got my iHome a year-and-a-half ago. It was an excellent solution for combining an alarm clock/stereo/iPod charger dock in a small place. The sound quality was good enough for me and I did enjoy listening to my iPod in my bedroom. These are the reasons I regret buying it: 1. The clock was so bright that I could not fall asleep at night. For over a year I have been sliding a piece of cardboard in front of it when I go to bed. It just does not dim enough. 2. There is a remote (that you have to buy separately) but that only worked sporadically and I had to get out of bed to turn off the alarm. 3. When the alarm went off sometimes it played music and sometimes it couldn't connect with my iPod and just beeped. 4. It often took a number of tries to get it to play my iPod. I would have to click the button several times to get it to "engage." 5. Most importantly several months ago I started to hear static. I had to jiggle my iPod and then wedge small objects like matchbooks behind it to get a clear connection. The objects got larger and larger and now it no longer works at all. I think this product should have lasted more than a year-and-a-half. I would not recommend buying it. super Amazing sound quality Super easy to use great features and functions nice interface great look reasonable price reliable and compact size i would buy it again in a heart beat Great at first.... This clock was great when I first bought it, however after a year of use the dial that allows you to set the time is malfunctioning. When you turn the dial up the numbers go down, and vice vesra. I am very disappointed with this product. Great sound This has an awesome sound. I can hear it all over my downstairs. I am not a stereo sound expert but it seems to work well. I got this for my kitchen and remote is very helpful when I'm cooking. I can listen to the radio or IPOD and quickly go to next song/station if I want. As I said the sound is good - this sits in my kitchen and I accidently set the alarm last night. It work me up at 5:30 am in my upstairs bedroom on the other end of the house. It wasn't even on full blast. :-) | |
