Teflon taste in food cooked on this grill
Based on the great reviews this GF grill had been getting and our experience with the original GF grill we owned, we made the $130 plunge and bought this grill and unfortunately, it has been a big disappointment. We don't use it any more as the food always had a Teflon taste (yes we washed before using). The changeable plates seemed like a great idea, but they do take up a lot of storage as does the GF grill. We had problems with the unit heating unevenly. LOVE THIS GRILL! We love this grill and we use it all of the time. Makes great waffles and makes dinner in a hurry. It's easy to clean and very versatile. Glad we bought it. Excellent This product is exactly as advertised. Best of all it is easy to clean. It is bit big so can be hard to store, and the griddles can be a bit hard to store too, but the product really works well. Excellent Grill This grill has been excellent. I previously purchased a Cuisinart low-end grill and it was difficult to clean and use. One thing I have noticed is the cooking times tend to be a bit longer than the book indicates for chicken, fish and breakfast meat, I suggest you experiment a bit. The grill plates are very easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher. Best upgrade from the original Foreman Grill I had the Original Foreman grill for many years and it finally gave out. Since I have a larger family now I wanted something with more cooking space. I used both the grilling plates and the waffle plates and both work great. Cleaning is very easy, and a great improvement on having to hold the entire grill over the sink when cleaning the old Foreman. If I could give it more stars, I would! | |
