Not at all up to par
My wife bought these for me as I have great difficulty doing some tasks with pain in my hands, She was hoping this would relieve the problem of using the scissors. The scissors are comfortable and easy to handle, However they are worthless at cutting. Paper just flops and bends between the blades, There is not enough tension to hold the paper tightly

Black & Decker Cordless Power Scissors SZ360
This item was hard to find in our local hardware stores, I would rather be in a fabric store! I am so glad, to be referred to amazon to find many items. Thanks for the reasonable price and the speedy delivery. I now share this with another quilter, my friend lilly, who has a vision problem. This handy tool helps her speed cut her fabrics. Again, thank you. 'lil grandma

Buyer Beware
The positive reviews were so glowing that I gave it a try. I couldn't cut cotton, much less tile or whatever some of the materials are that were mentioned. I kept it only because it was too much trouble to return it. Maybe one day I'll need a fancy pair of useless scissors to cut some paper. Maybe it will do that.

wimpy cutters
I bought these on Aug. 12, 2008, and I've been extremely disappointed with them. They don't work well at all on the plastic clamshells - the blades are a bit too short so it takes a lot of working from different angles before finding one that lets them grab an edge, and then they just don't have the power to cut through the thicker areas. To add insult to injury, they don't hold a charge for very long and they can't be used at all while charging, so half the time I have to put the item aside and wait for these scissors to charge - or just give up and go get the box cutter.

Great product
I picked up two of these at a Big Lots in Birmingham, Alabama, for 12 bucks each. They were the models that came with the table mounts. I got them with the table mounts since my mom has limited use of one hand, so I figured that the table mounts would help her. I have since found the model that doesn't come with the table mount at Big Lots for a mere 8 dollars each.

Regardless of the model, these things work GREAT. They are primarily used for cutting open those stupid plastic clamshell stuff comes in, but they also come in handy for opening/cutting a variety of other things. Sometimes you may need to cut a starting hole with a knife, but big deal, once that is done these scissors will easily cut through plastic, cardboard, and other reasonably lightweight products.

For anyone who gives these scissors one or two stars they (1) had higher expectations for them than reality can provide or (2) simply got a defective products in which case they should return it and get another BEFORE rating it.

Do I recommend these? Yes, but shop around for a better price.
