Editorial Review:

Product DescriptionNow Briggs begins an extraordinary new series set in Mercy Thompson’s world—but with rules of its own.

INTRODUCING THE ALPHA AND OMEGA NOVELS...

Anna never knew werewolves existed until the night she survived a violent attack…and became one herself. After three years at the bottom of the pack, she’d learned to keep her head down and never, ever trust dominant males. But Anna is that rarest kind of werewolf: an Omega. And one of the most powerful werewolves in the country will recognize her value as a pack member—and as his mate.

What Others Say

New to the series
I was very impressed with Cry Wolf (Alpha and Omega, Book 1). I loved the structure of the pack, the Marrok and his family and the relationships she explored. Her characters are very well constructed and her descriptions of the setting in which this took place was brilliant. Nicely paced as well.

I read it in one sitting and reread it again after that. Very well done!!

Great read
I really loved Cry Wolf (Alpha and Omega, Book 1). Not for the romance, or danger but for the back story. It was awesome to learn more about Bran and Sam's past as well as get to know the other members of the back. It changes the way I look at these characters in the Mercy Thompson series. Though I didn't like the jumping around so much I would still say that if you like Mercy Thompson and you want a better look into some other characters this is a book for you.

Cry Wolf
Anna was attacked and brutally changed into a werewolf, but in the last 3 years that seems to have been the easiest thing that has happened to her. Being told she is on the bottom of the pack makes a werewoman feel that way. But, her world is rocked and shaken to its core when she meets the second most powerful werewolf in the country. When she meets Charles he claims she is not a weak wolf but one of the most powerful and rare ones. She is an Omega, and apparently his mate. Now suddenly things are not as she has thought and her world is changing.

She leaves the city and goes to stay with Charles after a horrific showdown, which is detailed in On The Prowl. Now she is not sure where she fits in, what she can do to help Charles ... Read More

Wonderful
I loved Cry Wolf (Alpha and Omega, Book 1). Seeing the inside working of the Montana werewolves was great and meeting Anna, an omega wolf, was very interesting. I also loved getting more insight on Charles.

A Must Read
I absolutely loved the short story in "On the Prowl" and I'm glad that the author chose to continue that storyline.

The short story is not a prequisite for Cry Wolf (Alpha and Omega, Book 1), but it gives more of the background between the hero and the heroine. So I would recommend reading it first.

The plotline w/ the witch was very unique and I'm happy to say different from her Mercy books.

I'm glad the author chose not to delve too much on the abuse that Anna went through for the last 3 years and instead went with how she is going to move on from there. It was fascinting seeing Anna adjust, and every once in a while it almost appeared like she had a split personality because the wolf in her took over.

In the short story, ... Read More
