I bought The Heirloom Tomato: From Garden to Table: Recipes, Portraits, and History of the World's Most Beautiful Fruit for my husband Dennis for our anniversary. He planted over 50 tomato plants this year and we have been enjoying some and others we made salsa and sauce from. This is the book for you if you want an exquisitely photographed encyclopedic tome about heirloom tomatos. It is not a recipe book, though it has some. It is somewhat of a curiosity, but if you love food--esp tomatoes--well worth owning.
