A new way to make pancakes
Having cooked for my family for many years, I'm always looking for new things to try. An ad from a major kitchen store featured the Danish Aebelskiver iron at a price that was higher than I wanted to pay so I looked on line and found the one I bought. My son was visiting from Japan when I first used it--a simple bisquick recipe was turned into delightful round pancakes filled with blueberries. The pan released these yummy pancakes with a flick of a pair of chopsticks--a great pan at a good price.
Love it
We use this atleat once every weekend. Basic pancake mix works fine. It's a little tricky learning to turn the "pancakes" but once you get the hand of it, it's pretty easy. Somehow "pancakes" taste better this way, I think there just fun.
works great!
This pan works great, and makes the most perfect little circular "pancakes", great with all different fillings. Worked great this first time I used it, easy to clean.
Easy the first time !
The first time I used this pan, my cute little pancake "balls" came out just fine. No sticking, no hassle at all. I used a flat piece of bamboo (which had been the handle of a Chinese utensil at one time) and for more leverage, a popsicle stick. Had no problem at all turning them.
Last time I made them (second time I used the pan) I placed chunks of ham in the center of each.....yum!!
Cinnamon,sugar,powdered sugar....syrup...you name it.
The other day, I made a corn muffin batter and put green chile/cream cheese dollop inside.....you can spice them up however....Very nice!
If you're having trouble getting the hang of this user-friendly pan, then you just aren't trying hard enough!!
Try it again.....Enjoy!!! ... Read More
Puffs puffs everywhere
I love the pan the only problem is the nonstick coating comes off really easily. DO NOT USE nething other than plastic or chopsticks which are my favorite.
