Amazon.com ReviewFrench manufacturer Sitram produces commercial-grade, stainless-steel cookware for restaurant, hotel, and institutional kitchens worldwide--serious home cooks also use this cookware to their advantage. Designed to withstand rough treatment, its bright, shiny appearance lasts indefinitely. It is stain- and corrosion-resistant, and with no inside rivets to clean around, it scrubs up hygienically and painlessly. This is cookware for cooks who value heavy, bang-around durability over fancy design.
Tall and narrow to minimize evaporation, this stockpot is big enough to simmer about 4 gallons of stock, soup, stew, or pasta sauce. It's also roomy enough to deep-fry a good-size turkey or poach two or three chickens. Use it when canning large amounts of fruit or vegetables. --Fred Brack

Best stockpot ever
I ordered this stockpot about a year ago and absolutely LOVE it! We've retired two old stockpots and use this one all the time. Sauce doesn't stick, the pot heats evenly, and it's easy to clean. It's not too big for a home kitchen, but it's sizable enough to end up with 10 quarts (after cooking all day). The heavy bottom distributes the heat, nothing scorches, and we can let sauce or stock simmer all day without worrying at all about sticking.
professionally speaking...
