Poaches or hard- or soft-boils eggs at touch of a button
Yum. Eggs.
My husband and I received this as a gift 5+ years ago. I thought it was the dumbest gift ever. I mean c'mon... I can cook eggs on the stove. I believe it even took me a year to open the box. But when I finally used it I was AMAZED! This thing made the best hard/soft boiled eggs EVER!! Hard boiled eggs have never been dry since. We have used this machine at least once a week for years and I would totally buy another one if something ever happened to ours *gasp*!!
Daily use
Since receiving the Egg Poacher I have used it every day. It is easy to use and does what I expect of it.
I tried to buy one locally in our stores and no one had one.

Very pleased
I have had 2 previous egg cookers, both different manufacturers. I liked the first one, but the plastic eggholder broke and the part was no longer available. The second one I didn't have very long before the non-stick coating on the bottom curled and flaked off. I researched through the reviews posted with each brand of cooker, and picked the Westbend model. I'm looking forward to a long relationship with this cooker. The only thing I miss is an auto shut-off, but I'm doing fine without it. Soft boiled and hard boiled eggs cook perfectly using the easy to read measurer, ... Read More
works perfectly
I just bought this and although I don't do poached or soft boiled eggs, the hard boiled eggs come out perfectly! I am glad I bought this!
West Bend? Never again!
I cook poached eggs a lot for breakfast, so when my trusty Sunbeam poacher got all corroded from years of use, I replaced it with the West Bend. First, the West Bend has a loud obnoxious buzzer to indicate when the eggs are done, it's so loud that in jangles the nerves, not the ideal way to start the day. Then, after only about a month of use, the timer started malfunctioning, going off when the eggs were still raw, and turning itself off even when there was still water in the unit. After having several breakfasts ruined by this unreliable appliance, I decided to order a new Oster. I wish I had never thrown away my funky old Sunbeam, at least it was reliable and built like a tank. This West Bend unit is all glossy, cheap plastic, but is ... Read More
