What Others Say
Not the Same as the Super NES
While the main portion of the game is 95 percent the same as The Original Super NES Version, There are a few flaws.
A. The music and sound effects are slightly different
B. The Graphics are slightly different
C. There are 2 new mini games.
Now, some people may not consider the mini games a flaw but I don't believe in updating the classics with new material. Now, An album re-released many years later with material recorded back in the day that was cut, different story.
Plus, when it comes to the main portion of the game, it's no different that the Game Boy Color Release, which I really didn't care for either. If this game was a straight transfer of The Original Super NES Version, I would probably ... Read More
donkey kong country
the last level of this game is one of the most annoying levels in any game i have ever played. i just needed to say that
Not perfect but it'll do.
Let me start off by saying that this is a great product. I enjoy it quite a bit and it arrived from the seller very quickly!
But, alas, nothing is perfect in this world. I was expecting a fairly close port of the original game... but this is pretty different. The graphics were a BIG let down, and the included mini-games fall far short of fun/interesting... and to be honest with you I could not even find a reason for the mini-games other than wasting a few minutes- you don't get life balloons or bananas for winning! Controls are also VERY poor. Nintendo fudged a little bit and you can tell you get some assistance but at the same time there are parts where only blind luck will get you through and others where this same assistance actually ... DK country!!
This game is really pretty fun. The evil crocidle (he's not what your imagining, he stands up, his belly is gold, and he is a king)k.rool has stolen all of donkey kong's (donkey kong is a famous video game character, he is an ape, but he's kind of cute) bannanas! You'd probably think a pretty cruddy plot, huh? Well, it's not that bad. You even have help from Donkey kong's nephew, diddy kong! Cranky kong, candy kong, and funky kong will also help you.
Now let's talk about the gameplay. You see this is a side-scrolling game which is a view from the side where you can jump, enemies will hurt you and make you lose lives, if you lose them all, its game over which makes you lose check points, etc. (places in levels [you start from the beginning ... I hope there's a DK 4!
This the best game I have ever played. You can play as Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. The graphics are good and the game is challenging. Also see DK2, and DK3. K is my favorite letter based on how much I love this game!!!
