Almost perfect
I love this yogurt-maker. It's a breeze to use, and the yogurt is wonderful. One complaint: some (not all) of the plastic lids are almost impossible to remove from the jars without using a prying tool. I use an old-fashioned bottle opener. This operation is painful for hands that are showing signs of arthritis.
YOGURT MAKER
At the beginning I was not happy because as I found out later I WAS NOT following instructions correctly. The yogurt maker is awesome. I had a lot of trouble getting the yogurt to be the consistency I wanted because I was not waiting for the milk to reach the right temperature when adding the starter. You do need to wait till the temperature reaches the window it shows in the thermometer the machine brings. (I am using plain yogurt with active cultures as a starter, 2 tablespoons)...Now I get the perfect consistency . I leave the yogurt for 12 hrs and it comes out great! I am extremely happy with my purchase. I recommend it.
Melted the unit on first use
I was very excited when this arrived. I followed the instructions, plugged the machine in. Within a couple of minutes the casing started to melt. This could have easily caused a fire in our home. I have requested a refund.

This yogert maker works very well. I love the yogert, and find I am eating more healthy breakfasts since I started making my own.
