I love it
It's the perfect size and at $49, is affordable. Unlike it's French cousin, which it cooks as well as, I didn't have to take a second out on my house to purchase.
Porclain over cast iron cooking pot
I recieved this pot for Christmas, and just love it. The knob and handles are large enough to grip with pot holders, but not so large as to be combersome. It is indeed heavy, and makes temperature control easy. It has been in constant use siince Christmas, and the more I use it the better I like it.
Heavy, easy-to-clean, tight lid, cooks a nice meal
As of this writing we've had the pot for a few weeks and have used it a few times. We've used cast iron skillets for years, but this was our first procelain coated pot. The pot and lid are indeed heavy, which we like. It works great for browning meat and sauteeing vegatables on our electric stove top, then goes right in the oven for braising. We've been trying some new recipes and haven't had a bad result yet.
The handles and the knob on the lid are large enough to be comfortable for grabbing with an oven mitt or potholder. We haven't run it through the dishwasher yet because it cleans up so easily in the sink. We've never tried the more expensive brands, but I'd be impressed if they cooked food any better or cleaned up any ... Read More
I ordered two of these pans
This was my 6th and 7th purchase. I already own and use the 5 quart Dutch oven, the lasagne pan, the grill pan, the heart shaped casserole,and the 10 inch skillet. I also own several pieces of the Le Creuset brand and find this Innova Color Cast works equally well. This cookware is beautiful. Even the pieces without the quantum clean easily. The heat distribution is excellent and I have notice no hot spots. I love the large size and useful shape of this oval piece. I have just ordered a 2nd 7 quart for a gift.
