Modern toasters are modified to toast everything from bagels to pop tarts and in the process many have forgotten how to toast a slice of white bread equally brown on both sides. They will instead toast twice as brown on the toaster center side as the outer side. This is not desireable.
Love This Toaster
I have been using thios toaster every single day for the past 2 yewars. It has extra wide slots, exterior stays cool to the touch and it has a lift so you don't have to try and reach inside for a small English muffin when it's done. I have gone through several toasters prior to this one and I would buy it again and I highly recommend it.

This toaster is beautiful to look at and works like a charm to boot. The special settings for bagels and defrosting are excellent and actually work.

Great toaster
I've had this toaster (refurbished - black) for four months and it is very good. One side (of the two sided unit) toasts faster than the other, which is odd, but it's a learning curve I can live with. I had a toaster oven that took about six minutes to toast my toast before (poorly), and now I get it out very fast. It's nice for me as I serve breakfast for up to eight people at a time. I want another one in red! It does not get hot on the outside. I'm a little lame and don't know how to clean the bottom except turn it upside down till all the crumbs fall out. Doesn't seem quite right - I'm probably missing something :-)
