Excellent Receiver!!
What can I say? This is a great xm receiver. Simple, Basic, pretty straightforward and can hold 30 presets. The fm modulator is strong before they added that sureconnect that is weaker. I have had this for 5 years w/o any problems and works great, seems well built. Try to find on Ebay or Amazon if you can.
Older is Better in this case
Had first gotten a brand new unit from XM Radio directly which had horrible reception. Then a friend that already owned this particular Roady2 model, which is a few years old, but worked perfectly in my car. So I was very happy to find this one online. It works great because it has the FM modulator built in, which makes all the difference. Thanks!!
outdated and overpriced
I love the Roady2, but cannot believe that Toyzz is charging $169.99 for this unit. It originally sold for only about $69.99, and it sold off on eBay for $20 each after it was discontinued.
Buy the RoadyXT for less than $50.
Rugged
I bought this receiver about 4 1/2 years ago when I first got XM. It is a straight foreward little receiver. Very easy to use but the best part about it is how rugged the little thing is.. I originally bought it in Pennsylvania and used it in my Wrangler during the cold winter months. It got snow on it many times and was subjected to temperatures down to about 5 degrees. I brought it with me when I lived in Albuquerque NM where it was subjected to sand and dust almost nonstop. I used it when I lived in Fort Walton Beach Florida when the unit got rained on every day at about noon. I can't count the amount of times I saw water in the screen and it still worked.
