K.I.S.S. or Keep it simple stupid
What can be said about Logitech 963335-0403 Precision Plug and Play Gamepad other than it works, and it needs no driver disk. You can plug it in and be playing with it in the time it takes your emulator of choice to boot up. I've used it for NES, SNES, GENESIS, MAME, and it performs beautifully every time. THIS is the penultimate controller to get before you go analog stick. It does everything it's supposed to and it is easy to use, what else do you want? For it to serve chilled vodka shots? Well it doesn't, because it's a game controller, silly. That would be awesome though . . .

Works great with EA sports games.
I have had bad luck with plug n play controllers in the past, but I must say this is a great little gamepad. If your looking to play sports games on your pc, this one works great with any EA title. I have not tried with any of my FPS games yet, but I'm sure it will do just fine. Well worth the $10 I paid for it.
Excellent controller; poor software support.
This is an excellent controller at a great price. The ergonomics are comfortable and the buttons are as responsive as you would want them to be every time. That being said, the software support is terrible.
The controller is technically "plug and play" (with Mac or PC) but in reality this is basically useless since the ability to program the buttons is NOT plug and play. I used this on both a Mac and a PC, and there are issues with both operating systems. Here is what I found:
Mac:

2D control all the way!
I got this controller to play 2D games. The D-Pad isn't as great as I expected but it still works very well. Its sturdy, light and very comfortable. These controlers are very hard to find and most with analog sticks tend to have horrible D-Pads. Im happy with this purchase and have many hours of play time on this controller.
