Editorial Review:

Product DescriptionThe CH-DVR 1530 is a DVD Recorder/Player with Progressive Scan Video Output. DVD+R/RW Recording gives you the ability to create your own DVD discs from your home movies, favorite TV programs and more. Because of the outstanding compatibility of DVD+R/RW discs, the discs you create will be suitable for playback in most DVD players. You can record from the unit's built-in TV Tuner or an external video source like a video camera. And when you're ready to watch your recordings or commercial DVDs, you can enjoy them in the highest quality with the unit's Progressive Scan Video Out and Digital Audio Out.

What Others Say

CYBERHOME DVDR IS ABSOLUTE JUNK
This unit I received had beenrepaired. Disc carriage door was more beat up than Joe Fraser in the THRILLA IN MANILLA boxing match. The unit funcltion controls often do not respond to the Cyberhome remote. I ordered a NEW UNIT as the advertising said some old and new..and I requested new for $ 129.00. I would never order anything from this seller ever again. I don't like being cheated. Recorded discs are low quality..similiiar to a third or forth generation copy VHS.

Would Be Skeptical
While it wasn't this exact model I bought, I did buy a Cyberhome DVD recorder from Wal Mart that cost around $80.00, may have been model 1600. It was garbage, within 5 min. of playing back the recording I saw skips in the sound and digital video distortion (similar to weather interferance on a satelite TV). I took it back and told the woman at Wal Mart it wasn't worth the box it came in. I was skeptical to begin with but figured for the price I would give it a try. Consumer Reports rates Pioneer and Panasonic models at the top of their research, thats what I'll buy.
