Barely lights a small room.Even after cranking it for some time it runs out of power in five minutes.I bought two and when the electricity went down recently they were useless.
WOW!!!!
If your looking for a self charging light that will hold a charge, this is the one for you! It states that 60 seconds of winding will give you 1 hour of light. Well I ordered two of these flash lights and gave one to a friend. The first time I used mine I wound it up for about 20 to 30 seconds and turned it on to see how bright the light was and how long it would last. Well it was 6:00 pm when I first turned it on, it kept running and running. I finnally left it on and set it on the counter. Two hours later it was still running. The handle fell off after 3 rotations. In order to get a non-defective one it would cost us the price of shipping to return the defective one.

I purchased several Dynamo's this Christmas; three for woman to use in their cars for emergencies, and one for myself, because I got tired of needing a flashlight, only to discover that the batteries were dead. No more!
simply terrible
I purchased this about a month ago and I have to say that I was very disappointed with it. First off the flashlight is enormous! Also, it's not very bright at all. When I received it there was a slight charge so I used it until it died and then cranked it up and it lasted for about 2 weeks on the one charge. When it died I cranked it again and it lasted for about 2 days. After that It would give me about 10 seconds of light and then I'd have to crank it for another 2 minutes to get 10 more seconds. Even though it was only 10 bucks I don't think it was worth it. After this crapped out on me I bought a mini flashlight from LL Bean that ran on one double A and it gives me about 50 hours of light on one battery. Plus it is much brighter. ... Read More
