    What Others Say

    Great Snow Shovel
This is a GREAT snow shovel. It works like a sled that you push and it picks up the snow on the way.

I bought one over 10 years ago at Wal-Mart as a year-end close-out and fell in love with it immediately. I wanted to get another for my daughter and a third for back-up but I could not find it again. My wife recently saw an add in a magazine and with the correct name we found it on Amazon. I was finally able to get the two extra ones. The good news is that the original one lasted more than ten years and still shows no signs of wear.

I live in western PA and have a driveway that is about 25' X 40'. I am boxed in with a fence on one side and a neighbor's driveway on the other. I have to move the snow the length ... Read More

    Good item, buy it!
This is a good item for snow that is not too deep and works very well on it. For deep snow, use something else.

    Does what was expected
We received this just in time for another round of snow storms in Chicago. It clears quickly and is faster than our snow thrower.

The only negative - when you get a lot of snow over several days, you run out of room to "slide" it as your banks get steeper. You can reduce this problem with a little planning.

For what it is, the price is too high. Suncast has always been very "proud" of their products. Someone will knock it off shortly and help drive the price down to a more reasonable level.
However, I recommend it as is.

    Happy Shoveling!

    It's OK I Guess...
I have tried a couple of products like this but they are still just pushers..it can't make high piles without hand shoveling, and in deep snow you need to be able to throw not just push. My neighbor got a Wovel and I tried that and am sort of kicking myself as it solves both these problems and also has a large oversized blade. But this Suncast is pretty good for light powdery snow...not really designed for the tougher conditions..luckily we dont get too many tough conditions here.. At least this one in medium snow you can tip it up, but in heavy snow it is both tough to push the snow and tough to lift it. There are some shovels with little wheels but I didnt even try them - they seem like they would reduce the friction of pushing but then ... Read More

super effective tool once you think about how to use it
Got my first serious test of this: two 1-foot storms in 3 days. The first storm,
The scoop made big snow piles and the 2-stage snowblower was run on the piles:
fast and effective. Second storm, the new snowblower broke (stick jam/belt break),
and the scoop just had just light shovel assistance. The scoop shifted very heavy
plow-drift snow from driveway entrance and in front of the mailbox to the snowbank on
the other side of the street, the way some plows do. Saved literally tons of
back-breaking work. It works your arms+legs a bit, but really saves the back (if you
are careful to use it right). It can also shove the top of a snowbank back for you,
usually (there are limits). The handle ... Read More
