    What Others Say

Makes a good cup of joe
Love being able to adjust the strength of the coffee and the interupt feature is great when you are in a hurry to get that first cup.

    Wonderful, for a few weeks.
I was loving this coffeemaker. It made great coffee, held it at the right temperature, and the carafe didn't have that nasty tendency to dribble. It was everything I would want.

Then the switch went out. Just stopped being able to turn it on. Admittedly, I haven't pursued any warranty remedy, so I can't say whether the company would be helpful or not. It seems like too much hassle for such a minor appliance!

    Where's my carafe?
I bought this coffeemaker to replace an older Mr. Coffee. When switching out the two, I noticed the carafe seemed too small to hold twelve cups, so I measured both carafes. The older carafe counts a "cup" as five ounces, whereas the Proctor-Silex carafe counts a "cup" as four ounces, making their "12 cup" carafe more of a ten cup carafe. I call that false advertising. Also, the coffee is very weak even when set on the strongest setting.

Can't get rid of foul taste
There is something inside that's tainting the flavor of the coffee. You can smell it while it's brewing. I figured it was just the "new" smell but it persists. I've cleaned it twice with vinegar... no help.

    Coffeemaker
This coffee maker is easy to use and easy to clean. I get a perfect cup of coffee every time. It's fast. Also, it has a pleasant appearance and does not take a lot of counterspace. I am pleased to recommend it.
