Better than a traditional brush
This is a welcome alternative to a typical basting brush in that it's flexible and easy to clean. My only qualm is that it tends to splatter sauce a bit, but it's still the best I've encountered.
Silicone is great in the kitchen!
I bought 2 of these, one for me and one for a friend. I've had a chance to use mine several times for roasts and BBQ and it performs very well. I like silicone for it's flexibility and the easy clean up it allows. I'll definitely keep adding products like this to my kitchen.

Wish I had bought it sooner!
I bought this brush for my husband who makes waffles frequently. He had been using a bristle brush to coat the waffle maker, but the bristles started to fall off and would end up in the waffles.
I searched Amazon and read the reviews for Mario Batalli's silicone basting brush and decided to take the plunge.
I have not been disappointed yet. Coating the waffle maker is a breeze and it cleans up like a dream. Great product.
Very Pleased
I like Mario Batali Silicone Basting Brush, Persimmon very much. Not only for the ease of clean up, which is excellent, but that each "bristle" has a groove on one side which holds extra sauce and makes application much easier. Would definitely recommend and would buy another if something happened to this one.
