I got this coffee maker from starbucks after continuing to be irritated that I couldn't get my homebrewing to taste up to par. I have had this machine for a little over a year now and love it. The instructions were clear enough to prevent the problems the previous reviewer mentioned and ones I had before I read them. The only thing you need to do to keep it brewing at a peak performance is replace the water filter and not add a paper filter.

This beautiful machine was purchased from Starbucks, no less. I purchased it because it is a beautiful, utilitarian high tech sculpture that just happens to (sometimes)make coffee. We also trusted Starbucks to know what the best machines that make the best coffee are. We have struggled with it for 4 months. Everything from not being able to get the water filter to stay in its place, to a carafe that CAN NOT pour without dripping and piddleing coffee, to lukewarm coffee, we dealt with it because we thought it was so freaking attractive and wont it look good on the new granite countertops when we get them in?
