Do you want to do more with the paper on your desk? Would you like to copy it, collate it, file it, search it, mail it and make it disappear? Sounds time consuming doesn't it? How about if you could do all that with just one touch? The DocuMate 152 is a new desktop scanner that can do all this and more.

What Others Say
Does just what it is supposed to do.
We purchased one for our accounting department and were so pleased with it's performance we have since acquired 2 more. I guess that about says it all.
Boss scanner
I own a homebased business and use this thing continually throughout the day. It won't take the 50pgs at a time it advertises- and a jam requires reset of the machine but I regularly put 300 to 400 pages a day through the thing and it does a great job. Great resolution and speed and interfaces well with any email program. Two thumbs up despite minor issues.
A Gift for my Husband
A Gift for my Husband; he seems to like it. I wish it could also scan as a flat-bed scanner; it only has the sheet feeder. However, it can do double-sided scanning.
Nothing but problems
This scanner for me has been nothing but problems. A seemingly good idea (making the scanner like a fax machine so it can scan multiple pages) is muddled by bad software and shoddy construction. The scanner constantly jams, cannot handle anything on paper thicker than printer paper (i.e. photos), and the scanner software frequently looses contact with the scanner. Do you self a favor and don't buy Xerox DocuMate 152.
Very pleased with my Xerox Documate 152
As a small business "pack-rat" I bought the scanner to convert all the old hard-copy business reports I had saved over the last 30 years. So far, I couldn't be more pleased. It handles the legal sized reports with ease. It's fairly fast at 300 dpi and while it has jammed a few times, it was easily cleared. After about 6 days, we've emptied out about 3 file cabinets and have it all saved on an external hard drive in pdf format (and backed-up on DVD). Being on the hard drive makes it more accessible than it's ever been. The reports may actually be useful again.
