best stand ever! highly reccomend =)
ok first things first some people on here are saying that the rail that holds your laptop on here will scratch the front of your Mac. So all i did was buy a $2.00 dollar square of felt, cut a small strip and stuck it on the rail over the "two screws of doom" and boom bam, problem solved. and YES it will allow you to put in and take out dvd/cds with ease, it won't jam it in their and cause it to explode. I have a 17' Mac book pro, and this is the best stand i have owned
it's ok.
i got this b/c i thought the design looked good and it was functional. only thing i do not like is that it covers the cd/dvd slot. it says that it leaves space for the cd to come out but it doesn't.
A Great Office Accessory
Rain Design iLevel Adjustable Notebook Stand with Turntable has the highest utility of any office supply I've ever purchased. That's high praise, but it's well-deserved. The stand is extremely sturdy, yet swivels quite easily. When used with a second monitor, as I do, it makes it easy to look at two screens, yet swivel one when you need to give a visitor a better look at the screen.
The extra space under the computer is also very useful, as I have a couple of USB hubs and a backup drive stashed under there, which cleans up my desktop nicely.
Finally, the clean silver design fits in well with all my Apple gear and gives my office a clean and unified look.
Poor Design and Poor Workmanship ... Beware ...
I bought this stand for my macbook pro because it was advertised to work well with one, and that's what's pictured in their marketing material. I'm dismayed that it didn't work out ...
This notebook stand shipped well and appeared slick and sturdy out of the box. It's plenty heavy and it does give you a sense of security that it will never buckle nor budge under the weight of a seventeen inch macbook pro. In fact, out of the box it looked and felt quite impressive.
However upon use, there are a number of problems with this stand. Bad problems.
For one, this stand will scratch your $2500+ macbook (mine was about $3500) ...
