I just received the replacement as I was only able to grind about 6 pots of coffee before it broke. So far so good. I like it because it is hands free and it is not real loud
Don't Buy This!!!!
Just a word of warning. I used this less than 30 days and it died. I bought this one because i had another Hamilton Beach that lasted over 15 years. Apparently quality control has diminished. Don't waste your time.

This ginder is great! It has custom grinder settings for the type of maker you are using. I bought it with the Hamilton Beach One cup Coffee maker and I love them both!
great while it lasted...
This coffee grinder made great coffee...for a while. After two years, it started acting up and now does not work at all. Quite a shock the day I went to make my coffee and couldn't! Ended up using my food processor for my beans that day...yech.
Ultimately disappointed
Let me start off by saying that I worked for very large coffee retailer (you can probably guess whom)for MANY years, and have had extensive training in the coffee making process -- from growing, harvesting, drying and roasting to grinding and brewing, so maybe my review is a bit harsh.
Anyway, I purchased Hamilton Beach 80365 Custom Grind Hands-Free Coffee Grinder, Platinum in a moment of desperation because I wanted an inexpensive grinder to make my coffee in the morning while I save enough money to buy a nicer espresso machine. I have a French press and use (well, USED) the grinder on a daily basis. I didn't spend much on it, so I didn't expect peak performance; and at first, it got the job done.
