good trimmer
trims nice. the best part is its precision trimmer, gives you a very close trim. worth it.
Not exactly as advertised, but good
The T980 is ok. It does trim your beard, although it does get all the hair, it does get some. It is easy to maintain because it does not require any lubrication and the blades are forever sharp. It is cumbersome to shave the hair right under your nose, I put on the attachment and trim the area manually.
Awesome Trimmer
I was a little concerned after reading a few of the negative reviews. Nonetheless, I decided to go with this trimmer, it had a lot more positive reviews than negative and it was the most expensive trimmer on amazon at the time and I was looking for a high quality trimmer.
After a few uses I quickly realized why some of the negative reviews said the trimmer didn't trim. I recall one guy saying he was pressing super hard but it didn't trim any hair. So here's the scoop, the plastic guard/head if improperly seated on the top of the trimmer stands 1/2 - 1 inch higher than it should. Bad...Very Bad!
I bought the Philips Norelco T908 Turbo based on other customer reviews. I wish I hadn't. The thing is a piece of junk. The swivel adjuster for setting beard length moved when I was using it and suddenly I was cutting off more than I wanted. Also, the plastic catcher broke after about a month. Avoid this like the plague!
Serves it's purpose
The only problem is the covering on the hair chamber is quite loose. It will come off and spill if I lay the thing down on the wrong side. All this means is I have to empty it every time before stowing it. A minor problem
