Good Bar
As others have indicated the calories are in the right places.
Some of the bars upset my stomach, not these.
No way I would call them gourmet but they are one of the best tasting ones that have this high of a protein content.
Rich and chocolatey
This is by far the best protein bar I've ever tasted - none of that nasty soy powder aftertaste, and the texture is fluffy but dense, not chewy and weird. Which is phenomenal, considering this is also one of the lowest carb bars out there.
It was hard to finish the whole thing, not only because it's so filling, but also because it tastes so rich and decadent. I felt like I was eating a row of chocolate truffles!
May not be worth the work!
PROS: High in protein, low in sugar, enough carbs to use as a meal replacement, doesn't taste bad.
CON: Very hard and chewy if refrigerated.
Great Protein Bar
I've tried lots of protein bars and the Chocolate Deluxe Pure protein bar is one of my all-time favorites. It is low in net carbs, high in protein and has a deep, rich, genuine chocolate flavor. I actually prefer this bar to most sugary, calorie-laden candy bars and chocolates. The Amazon price is quite reasonable--less than $2 per bar--I've paid nearly $3 at the nutrition store. The 2.75 oz bars are quite large and filling. You could just eat half and easily be satisfied. I've tried most of the other flavors (peanut marshmallow, chocolate peanut butter, strawberry, blueberry, smore's) and was never disappointed.
