What Others Say

Warning!
If you are updating a previous Quicken file be sure to back up your data on a CD before installing this version on your computer. It has serious bugs and can wipe out all or part of your data. Intuit is issuing update on this version online to correct the problems but it may not correct the flaws.

Better than most think
I was wary of trying this when I saw all of the bad reviews, but after buying and using it for 4 months, I don't regret purchasing it. True, it seems a little disjointed, but once you remember that you use the program by using the top menu bar and do your navigation that way and through the little windows on the screen, one gets used to it. But remember, this software wasn't written for Leopard. I had no problem what so ever using it.

Not great but it does the job
I purchased Quicken Personal Finances 2007 for Mac as a gift for a friend who just switched to Mac. I have been using Quicken Personal Finances 2007 for Mac on my Mac since 2006. I use it because there is no real alternative on the Mac (sorry iBank just doesn't cut it yet, I have tried it). Intuit has shown no committment to keeping the Mac version of Quicken alive, which boggles my mind given the market share Mac has gained amongst consumers over the last three years. After all is said and done it is a little slow on my Intel Mac since it is not a Universal Mac app, but it works, it does everything I need it to and I would still recommend it over running Quicken in Parallels or VM Ware on the Mac.

A LITTLE DISAPPOINTING
I have used Quiken for Windows in the past and have always been very impressed with the way the product worked and how easy it was to use, but I have to say I was extremely disappointed in the Mac version of Quiken because it was much less sophisticated than the Windows version and the majority of my Banks and investment accounts did not allow for downloading or internet access with the Mac product.

The single worst program EVER writter
update 4 months later...

this review will be especially meaningful if you're coming from a PC... if you're consider this program for the first time, you'll be better off buying a blackboard and a box of chalk...

there is no doubt in my mind this is without question the single WORST program i've ever used... it's clumsy and difficult to use.. there are only two ways to sort while you reconcile your account... date and number... and if during the reconcile process you find a missing check or deposit there are no live updates... so should you go back into the registry and add a new item, there is no update in reconcile(but this does happens in the PC version)... so instead you have to start the WHOLE RECONCILE PROCESS ...
