What Others Say

Somber, But Funny Adam Sandler Flick
This movie will make you laugh, and it will also make you cry. This is definately one of Adam's best performances, plus I never expect to cry at an Adam Sandler movie lol

I recommend this movie to everyone

take the batteries out
Okay where do I start? The 1st half of this movie was funny, witty, and extremely entertaining. The acting was amazing by everyone. I have always loved Adam Sandler since I heard his comedy CDs. And there is just something about Christopher Walken that when he talks I have to hang on every word and laugh. As for Kate Beckensale shes is a great actress and looks amazing a stay at home house wife. The special effects for the aging of the characters looked pretty good. The fat suit was funny. Did I mention Kate looked amazing?

Just past the half way point this movie does a complete 360 and gets depressing i mean depressing... All the things in life that make us as people hurt inside unfold and consume way too much of what could have ... Read More

"Scrooged Meets Cats In the Cradle"
I was expecting this film to suck. I thought it was going to be slapstick and boobs, but it was much more.

Perhaps it's because I have young kids and a husband who is constantly looking at his blackberry, I dunno. I really enjoyed it. I laughed, I cried, it was better than the time I went to see Cats at a really old theater in Baltimore, sat in the back so I couldn't hear anything, and was worrying about my daughter being at the babysitters for so long.

If you like Adam Sandler, I recommend it.

The best
This is Adam Sandler's best movie yet. In this one he is a overworked archtiect who is always trying to please his boss David Hassellholf and spending time with his family. His wife is played by Kate Beckinsale and his parents are played by the guy who played fonnzy on Happy Days and his mom is the person who does the voice of marge simpson. It has it share of funny moments and it's very touching moments. From that point on, he meets Christopher Walkin, who gives him a universal remote control that controls the universe. It can do anyting, he can mute his dog and anybody who talks. He can change the language the people speak, he can go back and look at old memories, he can also skip to the future, like if he didnt want to take a shower, he would ... Read More

Emotional Wringer
I bought this film because when I rented it it made me cry and I knew I wanted it in my collection. It may be the ONLY Adam Sandler movie I will ever own. The story is wonderful, the acting really good and the funny moments in it aren't overdone or immature as much as Sandler's material is. The hidden gem in this film is Sean Austin and Henry Winkler. Both do a wonderful job with the parts they were given. I highly recommend this film, esp if you enjoy a good cry.
