Steams veggies beautifully
Be careful what you buy it for
Contrary to voluminous advertising it does *not* have anything to allow poaching of eggs. *ANY* eggs. It is also effectively totally lacking in recipes: a grand total of TWO: Green Salmon and really weird Apple something. It might be a decent steamer, I can't tell, because it can't cook what I bought it for, and it doesn't have recipes for anything else I might want to try.
Most Excellent Steamer
I had a small steamer that I used for quite a long time, and decided to upgrade to a bigger one, mainly because I wanted to steam my corn on the cob. After searching through many steamers and reading all the reviews, thanks to all the reviewers, you were very helpful, I settled on the Deni Multi-Tier Food Steamer - 7500. One complaint, lack of recipes for this particular steamer. You can look online for general steaming recipes, but it would be easier if they were provided with the steamer. Two trials were necessary for my corn on the cob. Twenty minutes was just a bit too much although the corn was quite edible. I just like it a bit on the crunchy side. Great steamer
I tried the different versions of Deni Multi-tier steamer, and found this model to be the best. I've had it for several months and use it every day. It has replaced our microwave and cut down on our utility bill. It does the job as advertised. The manual could use some improvement by adding additional recipes. I have a herb / vegatible garden and love steaming my foods. It does a great job with varies meats as well. I got the unit for health but it goes beyond that use. I can reheat my food and still maintains it's favor and texture unlike a microwave. This is one product I brag about. 5 stars in my book.
