I had recently heard about this type of kitchen tool. After a search I found the current version of the back to basic food strainer. I got the tool in just a few days and it went right to work. I had 2100#s of apples to make into applesauce. With very little help, my wife and I made over 200 quarts of applesauce in three days. The food strainer made it a breeze.
Very useful
This model was recommended by a family member who has had theirs for years. It is a solid machine that will definitely last. Processing food is extremely quick--just as an example, a gallon of cooked apples can be turned into applesauce in less than five minutes.
One thing to consider is where you will store this machine. Because of the awkward size and shape, the only option is to clean it and put it back in its box, which probably takes up a cubic foot of space.
The Best Accessory a Garden Can Have!
I gave this strainer/sauce maker to my son and his wife and it is as excellent as the one I've had for 30 years! Its ease of assembly and operation makes utilizing every tomato and pepper in the garden a cinch, and allows for easy clean up. A must-have to create healthy fare for a family using all-natural ingredients!
Great product
The Back to Basics Food Strainer worked great. It worked just as well as my old Victorio Strainer and was even able to fasten to my kitchen counter that my other one couldn't. It's light and easy to clean.
Sauce maker
I received this sauce maker just in time to do all my tomatoes and apples. It worked great and was a great time saver. I would recommend this item to anyone who likes to make jellies, tomatoe sauce, apple sauce and salsa. It is a product I could not do with out now that I have tried it.
