Amazon.com ReviewTranslated as ''cauldron'' in English, Keilen's Mexican Fiesta Caldero stockpots are perfect for cooking stews, soups, chili, and sauces on the stovetop. All of the pots are crafted from cast aluminum to distribute uniform heat without hot or cold spots and come with a tight-fitting lid to seal in nutrients and flavor. Lighter in weight than iron or steel, they're also easy to manage when filled with hot, bubbling meals-carry the whole pot right to the dining table for serving! To keep the chef safe, side handles facilitate transport and a stay-cool finial tops the lid. This midsize 4-1/2-quart version works great for smaller family meals, side dishes, or apartment-size ranges. --Kara Karll
What Others Say
it's a pan...
I can't say that I really love this pan, but it is doing it's job
Lightweight, but cheap and nice
Yeah, it's a bit lightweight. But it's good quality cast, gets hot quickly, and isn't 40lbs.
I use it for Indian food, stews, etc. Cleans amazingly easy, and isn't so big that it's hard to store. Perfect size.
The lid worried me, I thought it looked cheap, but it's held up really well and hasn't melted even though I got the pan amazingly hot several times (to sear meat).
The rounded bottom gives problems sometimes, as the large burners tend to wrap the flames up the sides rather than heating the bottom, but I like this at other times, because the food doesn't stick to the bottom, and the sauce bubbles on the sides and reduces without boiling the food too much.
Great deal!
For the price, this is a great pot. I have a larger caldero that was much more expensive and this is just as good. Perfect size for a pot of rice. The biggest pain was getting the sticker off the side! These pots are not made to be beautiful, they are made to be functional and this one is just that!
If I saw it in a store I would have passed it by.
It's very light weight. Can't put it in the oven covered. If I saw it in a store I would have passed it by.
LOVE it!!
Bought this on the Lightening Deal a few weeks ago, and what a steal!!
It's the perfect size, heavy duty pan but it's light in weight. I have a hard time picking up those really heavy pans, but I love the way they cook. This cooks similar, but it's light and easy to just pick up and carry. I've used it for soup, mashed potatoes, hamburger helper...it's one of those pans that has many uses.
You won't go wrong buying this!!
