Great so far!
I picked this up at a kitchen gadget store because I eat chopped raw nuts in yogurt almost every day for breakfast and was tired of spending the time hand-chopping or getting almost peanut butter results if I wasn't careful with the food processor. This nut mill has been a revelation! I've been using it for several weeks, running through about a 1/3 cup of nuts a day with no issue whatsoever. Per other reviewers notes, the chop is not uniform but I have never experienced a uniform chop by hand or food processor either, and this is much more efficient and takes only seconds with basically zero cleanup. The blades are fine after chopping a wide variety of raw nuts (including brazil and filberts) and the top assembly shows no sign of falling apart.
OK but
The items works but you have to be careful. Not a very strong crank handle. I wish it had a cover to store the crushed nuts without having to keep the grinder on it. For the price it works, but not if you are doing a lot of chopping on a regular bases.
Terrible nut chopper
I just received my nut mill. It is the white one from Gemco and a sad experience. It feels cheap and is cheap. Most of the nuts were larger chunks and I'm looking for a fine grind. Pretty much a waste of money. I have no clue why they even make products like these. I'd rather pay more while having a reliable product.The search continues.
Piece of JUNK
Dropped in 4 or 5 nuts turned it one full crank and the prongs all bent. Not able to repair - just threw it away. Big waste of money. Vendor never replied to my complaint by email. Not worth even the shipping charge!
Gemco Nut Chopper
It doesn't produce uniform results. Nuts are from super fine to very coarse. The blades are flimsy and prone to bending unless you turn the handle very slow.
