it leaves the same taste
This filter did not completely alter the taste of the water from the refrigerator, but it did make it a little better. Not bad I guess.
Seems to work as described
I've never really cared if I had filtered water. Tap water was just fine with me. I got a deal on the refrigerator that happened to have the filtered water dispenser. I can taste a slight difference between that and my tap water. However, the old filter I took out looked a little grey instead of white like the new one. So it's obviously filtering something out of the water.

My filter arrived within 5 days and was new as stated. My water tastes good again :)
Pure Source Ice and Water Filter
The Pure Source filter fits correctly and seems to be doing a good job of filtering. The cost about 60% of the price of the original manufacturer filter price that came with our refrigerator.
